Eliminating bumper shocks?

I know a few have done it. What did you come up with for brackets when eliminating the shocks and reinforcement? Any pics? Thanks!!
 
If you search there are members that removed the internals and welded them back together for a tighter bumper install. Just one option. Not sure exactly what you goal is.
 
on my 76 swinger i drilled a hole and collapsed the shock. I then welded them solid. you have to drill the hole so the oil has somewhere to go
 
I'm wanting to do away with the shocks completely. Was wondering if anyone had and pics of what they fabbed up.
