The 225 came out in 61. In 1962 it became the standard 6 in the B-body cars. The 225 remained an optional engine in the A-bodies until the 198 was put to pasture. The original had a 1 bbl Holley and rated at 145 bhp (gross). The tranny is a 904G and should bolt up to any /6. The starter is in a different location on the LA powered 904s.

Some 225s set up for taxi service had 727s. Never seen one, personally
