I was "somewhere else" and came across this tidbit, could be useful if you are swapping a Mopar into a "non Mopar" vehicle.
Or just take a little more load off the ign switch and eliminate one wire out of the bulkhead
Other brands don't use the Mopar method of ballast resistor bypass on startup in the ignition switch (ign1 / ign2) but it turns out the LATER Mopar starter relays incorporated an extra set of contacts into the relay, listed as model years 77-8x?
Standard Motor products SR-111
SOL / EGR goes to starter solenoid S terminal
BAT is the battery
BAL replaces brown ballast start/ bypass
IGN goes to ign switch "start" wire
GND goes to neutral safety switch.
