If we have an oil glut, then why is there no mention of removing ethanol from our fuel?
 
mega investment in the facilities. ethanol is not "made" in the oil refinaries.
corn prices are way down, eliminating E would reduce prices farther.
Ag is one of U S major exports.
"modern" autos probably wouldn't run on real, pure gas!??? LOL
 
Government law requires the Ethanol in gas to clean the air....

Call the EPA if you want to *****.............
 
Because corn growers want their piece of the pie also....
 
So if you mixed methamphetamine with ethanol, would you get methanol???? :D

is that why we see obvious dopeheads around here pumping gas into their car and their nose is at the nozzle!!???? LOL

funny thing about etanol is the experts claim it can be made out of lots of cheap things. like hay. round here a 1000 lb. big bale of grass hay is bout $25-$30/ bale. there are a lot of 56 lb bu. of corn in 1,000 lb!? 18 bu. x $4= $72 LOL
 
No doubt there is "Mega Investment" in the production of "E", however it could be debated if I was a good or wise investment.
Agree that Ag. Is a major export for the U.S. and that is good. More export by way of the elimination of "E" would help off set the balance of trade and get back some of the $ we also export.
 
the Chinese steal our technology. what do we have to export but ag? O K, the big U S oil companies sell gas to the highest bidder NO doubt.???
don't get us started on the EPA!??? LOL
 
Agree on the E.P.A. Had a metal finishing/plating company. Enough said!
