The good ol days, I see a roll of black plastic in your future along with a couple hangers and a rubber coupling, I would keep a light bulb burning down there to chase of the brown recluse spiders and spend $10 on a white monkey suit..
Pipe in fresh air and put a vapor barrier down if that is under a home..
