Are they the same (or compatible ) to 73+ A-body calipers? They look the same in picture?

FYI... go to rock auto, and search the year and model the calipers are off of.

Then search the calipers your comparing them too, make and model.

If the PN is the same there's your answer.

if not there might be a small difference like a taped hole for a bracket or the like but the casting and inlets are the same. This condition means additional sleuthing

They would still interchange, but didn't the piston diameter get a little bigger around 1976? I read that somewhere but forgot where.

That would be nice know, to make sure they match?

Shows 75-down are 2.6" and 76-up are 2.747". The mounting clips look to be the same from 73-89.

Yup!

The only thing you want to be careful about is some of the B body calipers. The brake hose on those comes straight out of the bottom, which doesn’t work for A-bodies.

ok so what I was lookingathttps://www.ebay.com/itm/304065130934 listed for an 82-89, so I'm guessing there different.

Also could anyone tell what the 2 rubber bands are for?

Not sure what went on in in 80- up stuff but I'd stick to the 76 version with metal pistons.
