Fab a 68 Barracuda custom center console??

I have a 68 Barracuda with bucket seats, but shifter is on the column so no center console. Has anyone here fabricated up their own custom center console for their cuda???? If so can you post some pics or give me some ideas??? I'm up for any suggestions. Thanks.

How about one of those taller center sections from a truck or suv ? Arm rest, cup holders, etc... I read a poem that said, "Good fences make good neighbors." Applys in a way LOL

I looked at those, they're all made out of plastic and seem to be geared towards Soccer Mom's and minivans. I'd like to go in the direction of heavy guage sheetmetal, painted, maybe some hard wood accent, clear coated, think high end Lexus/BMW......
