Well after half heartedly chasing down why my wipers would not return to the bottom of the motor's travel I finally got her fixed. As I was taking out the motor to take it apart to clean brushes and commutator, I saw that the nut that mounts the arm was only showing about one thread of the stud from the motor. I then proceeded with cleaning the motor parts and put the motor back in and low and behold the nut went on way farther than it had come off!:banghead:
So what had happened was that the nut loosened itself and the arm came slightly off of the stud and then turned enough to change the stop point of the wipers. So after realizing this I took the nut back off and put a new lock washer under the nut.
Just thought I would put this out as there might be someone dealing with the same problem.
Have a nice day FABO!!
