floor shift hole size?

Just want to confirm with someone that the factory hole size I need to cut is 2.5 inches (where it's marked on the floor for the shifter). Just get paranoid when I start cutting stuff...lol.

Whats it going in, My 70 340 duster that was auto on column, had the stamping on the hump to cut out and the three dimples for the screw holes aswell. Hope this helps.

If you have your boot and ring for the hole , take the ring and place it over the factory stamp circle on the floor . Use a sharpy and draw the inside circle. You want to keep everything as straight as possible but you do have alittle room to play.
