flowmaster sound

the motor is somewhat healthy, it's .030 over, 10.4:1, stock 516 heads, Holley SD intake, 750 mighty demon and the 557 cam.

at cruise it doesn't really have a drone...but idk what to call the sound it makes.... next time I take it out I'll get a "at cruise video for you guys
 
my buddy has borla xr1s on his f100...13:1 460 with a .700 roller and dominator, still sounds like an old dump truck with a hole in the muffler lol....but his 347sbf 1968 f100 with borla xr1s sounds AMAZING when he ***** it at 7600

What a coincidence, I sound amazing when I **** at 7600.
 
I am a fan of the Flowmaster 40 series muscle car sound, and have them on 2 of my cars.
But I am a bigger fan of flow and performance.
For flow, there are better mufflers out there.
Magnaflows will be on my next car.

That said, twayne's car might be the best sounding flowmaster equipped car I've ever heard. If it has the ol' flowmaster drone at speed though they'd have to go.

I run Dynomax welded Ultra-flo's on my cars. I used to run glass paks (banjo's playing) but got sick of the drone those have as well.

Nothing fancy, just an idle clip. 1968 340, .060" over, KB 243 hyper pistons, ported 308 heads flowing 264 cfm @ .500", Lunati 60404 cam, duration 276/ 284, Lift .513/ .533. Compression ~9.8:1. Doug's headers, Summit 2.5" dual exhaust with Dynomax welded Ultra-flo's.
