Hi Folks,

I tore/ruptured the right quadriceps tendon Oct 15th.
I had surgery Oct 27th, 2008.

I went to the first day of physical therapy today,
the Therpaist lady says if you work hard, and are lucky;
you Might be able to go to work the end of March,
no-way you will be ready to go to work,
for the begining of Feb.

:(

Looks like it might be 5 months of no work.

I hope I don't have to sell my house, and car.

I might run out of savings account money around
the 1st of the year 2009.

I am living with my Dad and Step-Mom for now,
untill I can drive myself to the Dr.s and Therapy.

At least I didn't break my neck/back when I fell.

Happy Holidays to all.

Really sorry to hear that. I can tell you that there are a number of programs available if losing the house is an issue. In ohio there are county and state programs as well as the new federal 1's. With the foreclosure crisis I would think that you being injured would qualify you for assistance so you may want to look into whats available for you in NY. Just thought Id mention it so you can look into it now rather than when its too late. Best of luck and heres to hoping that things come along sooner than expected for you!!!

Gosh I didn't know that you fell... take care of yourself and I hope everything works out for you. I don't have any advice but I'm sure you qualify for something since you was injured.

caveman, banks and credit companies are very hellpful these days with people who have legitimate shortcomings. You must keep in touch with them and they will be happy, as you have nothing that they want except a promise to pay. good luck Walt:cheers:

How and where did you fall. You might be able to recieve some insurance benefits. Do whatever your pt says and keep a positive attitude.

Tore my right rotator cuff July 28th.
Surgery was August 20. Doc said it was torn about as bad as it could be.
Been in PT since then, my shoulder is getting better but it still isn't anywhere near 100% yet. The therapy is the key, don't do it and it will take a long time, if ever, to get the use back.
You have my sympathy, grit your teeth and do it.
Happy Thanksgiving,

I fell at home, working on the house,
I had just walked from the basement,
\to the first floor, and out onto the back deck,
off the enclosed rear porch.

Thankfully i didn't have my tendon rupture,
while walking up the cellar stairs,
with a 2x4 in my hands.

I have had rotator cuff surgery, in 2001.

I had my right biceps muscle/tendon
reattached in 1994.

I broke my right foot in 1995.

I tore my left biceps muscle loose at the
shoulder in 1998.No surgery for that.

I had surgery on the outer left elbow in 1990

I have been through therapy a few times,
yes grit teeth, and let a couple tears out,
while the pain is bad. :(

Glad I didn't fall off the ladder in the picture below.
