Found an 8 1/4 a body housing

Looking around Craigslist I found a 8 1/4 housing and backing plates for $100, it's been powder coated. Is that a decent price? I have a 8 1/4 out of a volare would all of the parts except the axles swap into the a-body housing?

Should but remember that there were two different carriers depending on the gear ratios used.

Ok, the carrier is the center section correct? I'm thinking the volare rear has highway gears, I'm thinking in the 2.67 range.
