While out on patrol on Easter Sunday Detective Schumacher observed a motorcycle that was out on a nice Easter drive. However the motorcycle appeared to be missing all of the normal safety equipment and was not equipped with a license plate. Detective Schumacher decided to get a closer look at the bike. The rider had other plans and decided that he should push the social distancing rule and took off at a high rate of speed.
The chase was then on. Detective Schumacher pursued the bike for several miles before the rider decided that perhaps he would have better luck if he switched to a more scenic route. Unfortunately for the rider he forgot about the numerus barb wire fences and quickly forgot to social distance with the ground.
However that did not seem to phase him and he quickly turned to social distancing on foot. Detective Schumacher was not out of the egg hunt yet and quickly gave chase. The suspect eventually ran out of his “Sugar High” and decided to give up social distancing and try his luck with the opposite of social distancing.
That plan also did not pan out and a quick shock from a Taser suddenly made him decide that maybe Easter dinner at the finest county dining facility wasn’t the worst idea. Detective Schumacher was able to take the suspect into custody without further problems.
It turned out the suspect was Suspended in the 1st degree, Had no registration and was not insured. Also some extra Easter “Candy” was found in what we sure weren’t his pants. The suspect was booked on several felony charges.
