Took this off the motor that came out of my duster. It's an aluminum version and I've been told by a few sources this is a Mopar Performance peice.

I found some more info out about this fan.

The # 3462186 Thermo Silicone Driven Cooling Fan was
used by the "D" Bodied Imperial Division ( 1974 ) and
the Chrysler Division from 1975 production cars through
1978 that used the 440.

The same was true of the Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth's
that used the 400 . Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth Cars
also used the fan until the end of 1980 with any V8 in the
book.

The Dodge Truck Division used the same Cooling Fan
from 1978 to the end of the 1981 production run in any
sized truck and RWD van's .

The paddle's of this Cooling Fan are not Steel, they are
of Aluminum .

And the true outside diameter is 20 inches, the notch
on the leading edge end of the paddle is at 18 inches.

The lowest requirement to have this Cooling Fan was
to have A/C. On non A/C engines the lowest
requirement was to have a vehicle that needed some
non stop, full time, HD low speed cooling.

This fan is written to draw more air vol, use less engery
in doing so and to be quieter than before. No wonder
the Imperial Division ( with A/C ) got it first.

MoPar Performance states that by 2,000 RPM's it is
using 15 HP less than any other direct drive MoPar
Cooling Fan.

I've also been reading that alot of guys are using this fan on there hi-po small block cars to help with the cooling while using less power.

Can you measure the overall lenght? I've got a real need for one of these but the lenght is an issue. With my aluminum rad. in place, I only have about 4.0 inches from water pump pulley to rad., and about 1.5 inches from fan adaptor to rad. Thanks.

I measured mine just last night and got 3 1/4" front of clutch to back of mount. No spacer. Should fill the bill per your available space.

No problem, I lurked on here for like 3 years before I joined up. Learned a hell of a lot from the other members over that time. Hope I can contribute a little now and again. I would still verify those dimensions when you get a chance though.
