gas cap stolen..will a 71-72 gas cap work on a 63?

i got my gas cap stole off my car last night :crybaby:
was wondering if a 71-72 valiant/dart gas cap will fit my 63 valiant..
reason i ask is cause it's the cheapest locking gas cap i can find..

The cap you need fits '60-'66 A-body only. The later A-body caps will not fit.

I recently left my cap on the roof of the car after filling up (idiot) but I found out that the Stant 10800 will fit fine and is $8 or so at just about any parts place. Cheaper online. It does not lock though.
