gas cap vented on non in 68

just wondering if any one knows in 68 if my dart should have a vented cap or not?? was a cali built car with 340
think i may have a vapor lock issue starting and trying to norrow down where it may be at

If after driving a while you pull the cap and hear it suck air in I would say you need a vented cap.

Non-vented is correct for all A-bodies through '69 in California, through '70 everywhere else. Starting in '70 in California and '71 everywhere else, a pressure-vacuum cap was used -- that's the type with calibrated 2-way valve that allows air freely in, but only allows air out under extreme pressure conditions.

yea yester day while having the freak issue with believability i put my ear by cap and opened it no sucking at all tryed it 2 or 3 times

Your fuel fill tube should have a vent tube on it.
