Would the difference in performance be very significant or only minor a 2.76 rear gear to a 3.23? I'm thinking only a tenth or two as far as elapsed times are concerned in a small block car.
You are correct unless it is a very underpowered motor or a heavy car then it might be as much as three or four tenths. Each step up in ration reduces your ET by about .05
