Gearshift Control Unit Bulb replacement

Hello again. I believe a few of you have changed this Bad Boy, & now I wish to replace it with a color matching LED. Does the entire assembly need to be pulled to get to the bulb or just the front bracket?? Shop manual says it takes a 53X bulb

I think 6 bulbs total, 5 for meters, 1 for Push button unit OEM bulb is a 53X

Meter lights are
BA9s LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED Tower - BA9s Bulb
