Got me a new truck with a slant Six, what should I do?

Sweet looking truck, I'd leave it alone. Just give it a good tuneup and maybe replace the float cause they tend to get saturated. Drive it like you stole it.
 
Thanks! I think I'm going to put the new intake and carb idea on hold for now. Got to get my Dart project rolling. It seems to have an over charging issue right now, had the alternator rebuilt (who does that anymore?), replaced the voltage regulator, and got a new battery. Hope that fixes the problem. Going to rebuild the carb soon and get the hole on the roof repaired.
 
!!Cool!! ...............and then the other day I read the thread about the turboed slant spinning the tires on the freeway......................
 
If it has the four speed with granny gear first, I would research switching it out for an overdrive. I can't say what would be involved as I am not knowledgable on manual transmissions.
