So I am close to ordering headers. Leaning towards TTI. Any recommendations who to order from?

Order straight from TTI. I really don't think anyone else has them. I ordered some TTI exhaust for my slant six from Mancini. Took over two months to get it, because they didn't have it in stock like they told me and they dragged their feet on the order. It was dropped shipped from TTI. On the second and third pieces, I ordered straight from TTI, got it much quicker and even saved a few bucks.

I've gotten them from Chicago Connection. They always show 'out of stock' because they drop-ship from TTI. In my case (at the time) price was the same as direct from TTI but the Chicago Connection offered free shipping. TTI would have charged me a good chunk of change to ship them 5 hours up the road lol.
Don't know if things have changed though.

Being in NY, (I went for less freight charges from Cal.) I ordered my TTI exhaust system from Mancini on one of their 10% off sales Labor Day sales? 4 years ago. Arrived in great shape, and back then, quick. I have had good experiences with Mancini.

I've ordered from TTi directly and from The Mopar Shop in Madera Ca. Both were very good experiences, shipping was fast and no issues.

or dougs d453

autozone used to have good discounts on them. call summit to match prices

I have Dougs on my 68 Barracuda with power steering and they are great .

TTi 1 7/8 on my Dart with 4sp and manual brakes . They fit fine as well.

Both are great headers but you will save money on the Dougs.

If this is for your orange duster there is really only 1 choice. TTI step headers are great. Hemi Denny sells TTI. Sometimes in Ed he even throws in the shipping. He is a great guy. Kim

Small block ??

Doug's D453 longtubes are 1 5/8 from start to finish. TTI's longtubes are a stepped design going from 1 5/8 to 1 3/4. That alone leads me to the TTI's. I'm doing longtubes over the Winter.

Do you have power steering on the Dart?

TTI, I would not suggest anything else. You only get what you pay for. Some like the X pipe. I am partial to the H pipe. Why run interference when you can run straight out. You only need to equalize the pressure. Remember heat cross over block off on the intake, And single to dual plane manifold change everything. 440 and Hemi Trac-pack cars all had H-pipes. ??? Fuel injection cars don't pull fuel they inject it, So you can clogged them up if you want to.

Put and X in your sewage pipe and see how fast the **** clogs up. Here we go again, LMFAO

1971 340 duster. Stock engine
For a streeter?
to what end?
Headers make power two ways, but power is a function of rpm. Without rpm, you won't notice much difference.
If you have an automatic with a stock stall and 3.23s, you will hit the top of the power peak only once on the way to 65mph; namely at about 5000=43mph, and with street tires they should be spinning. You won't hit shift-rpm again until about 80mph.
So I repeat, what are you trying to accomplish?
TTIs are pushing $1000, plus you probably need a new exhaust system to take advantage of them so there goes the best part of another G. For what purpose; 20hp at 5000rpm@43mph?
There are better ways to spend 2Gs to get the power down in the speed-band where you can use it on the street.
But be warned; spinning the tires does not mean yur fast or quick; so in all likelihood, you are already traction-challenged. If you are, you should probably fix that first. And if you are not traction challenged, then you should probably find out why, first. Cuz more power at 5000 is not gonna help you at stall speed. Even if you have a clutch.

Not looking to make power lol car was originally a drag car, and I’m keeping to that theme, while driving it on the street slowly lol.

Are you saying that you are willing to spend all that money, for the car to appear to be a racecar?
I'm not judging, but have you got a great-paying job for me? I don't eat much, am never sick, and I'll sleep in the corner in a cardboard box....... lol
