Heater brown wire connection

Were does the long heater motor wire (brown) connect to? It has a eyelet style wire end.

I am thinking that it is a ground, but not for sure if that is correct.

Yup. I believe, originally, it ran over and grounded in the kick panel.

This is correct. Grounds in the right side kick panel.
