Hello everyone. I'm very glad to be here. I'm restoring a 73 Valiant I purchased to be a daily driver. The guy I bought it from said "It has a little bit of rust where the vinyl top once was and the brakes need to be bled." He was right about the rust nothing a bit of metal and filler can't fix but the brakes. Well if by "bleed" he meant replace everything that goes to the rear drums and all the hardware for them while you're at it, then yeah they "only needed bleeding". That's the first thing I did. Then dealt with the body work. Just yesterday, I put the wiper linkage back together. Now I need the headliner. Also I'm debating on what to do with the roof. Go with black paint on top (easiest option), put the white vinyl top on it (the stock option) or go all JY9 Tahitian gold which the rest of the body is.
