Hello, I am attempting to identify this transmission and I am not having any luck

Here is some of the information I was able to pull

Off the pad - 2892031L2484 4751 (need 13 letters if this is the VIN)
Above the pad - 2892754(? can't read it very clearly)
Off the tail shaft - 2466901
Bell housing - 7543

Sorry new at this, any help would be great appreciated

Post a good clear shot of the open end of the bell

ALSO BEAR IN MIND that Ma made torqueflites "for other stuff" including IHC and Jeep/ AMC, not sure what else, so the case bell pattern has to fit

Oh yeah, 68 383 4-bbl trans built May 16, 1968. If it has a VIN it will be on the bell housing rail on the top drivers side. PM me if it is for sale...

Easiest way to determine small block or big block for me is that small blocks have a bolt hole at 12:00 position. Big blocks do not. Same for bell housings.

Looks like the small block 727. I will clean it up and see if that helps

Nope, that is a big block, the centerline of the trans is in line with the centerline of the starter, the small block is much lower.

bummer, my fault for not knowing.

Everybody thank you for the help
