Your Dart was built 5 days after mine ( my Dart's sequence number was 307811 , with a build date of "204" ) !!

Mine was optioned almost exactly like yours , except that mine was EV2 Hemi Orange , with E2XW interior ( white bench seat with black accents ) and a V1W ( white vinyl top ).

"N95" = Calif Emissions Pkg

"Y84" = Sold Car

I'd be interested in knowing your car's plate number ( mine was 337 GBL ) and where it was sold new ( mine was sold via East Los Angeles Dodge , 357 S. Atlantic , E.Los Angeles ) .

ask and ye shall receive...

plate number is 778FOS , thats pretty cool that the builds were so close together . I just picked mine up recently and im trying to get all the info i can. Is there a way to tell if its a true swinger? sorry for the ignorance here, im usually a mustang guy.

Nice to see that it's got its original-issue plates ! Please , don't replace them with those yucky new ones :stop: .

All Darts from 1970 - 1976 are "Swinger" models , albeit with different trim levels and options :

LL23 = Swinger "Special" ( and the rare Canadian-only '71 & '72 Swinger Special 340 )

LH23 = Swinger

LM23 = 1970 Swinger 340

The Swinger line started in 1969 ( LL23 & LM23 ) , and that was the first year for a bargain-model 340-powered Dart , as the 340 could only be had in the GTS ( LS23 ) in 1968 .

There's more to the story , but this is the basic gist of it .

Welcome ! 8)

thank you so much. where did you find it? ive searched every where. thanks again!

Well..first I guess I better ask whether the admin has a problem linking to another mopar site(not mine, I don't have any website)....

The dates are the scheduled production dates, not the actual build day. For very late 1972 cars you can check the new style door sticker for the MDH (Month - Day- Hour) of final assembly. More info on that at http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Board=A12&Number=5776089&page=0&fpart=1

Y84 is actually New Car Service - Dealership Pre-Service.

Sold car is Y14.
Thanks much , T/A :happy10: .

My Dart's build sheets ( 3 ) all stated a build date of "204" , with one of the sheets showing a time ( print time ? ) of 02:07 ; and the door v.i.n. also showed Feb 1972 .

I forgot that "Y84" means "New car Service" ... well , at least I had "Y" and "4" correct :-D .
