Help! Where does splash shield/cover go.

I am installing a 904 lock-up trans,I am wondering,Can I put the splash shield/cover on after the trans in connected to the engine,or does it fit between there when i bolt them together?

You can put it in place after they are attached, but you will find it easier if the tranny isn't bolted up tight. It is easiest to attach it before mating it to the engine if you can.
