can anyone tell me what kind of reaer end is in the picture. I have heard different things but no one is sure what it is so far.

That's a bunch of hooha. It's a 9". Although shortened like the demonic one pointed out. I didn't think I needed to add what a blind man could see. lol It is a good center section because of the ribs. They don't all have those. It does make it a little stronger.

That looks like a nodular case that is the one to have if ya go with a ford

They call it a 9 1/2" but I am almost certain that they are talkin about the 9 3/8. Lots of places online say people refer to them as 9 1/2. Worth a shot.
