On my 72 Demon with the key in the on/run position, the left front park lamp lights up (shouldn't). If I turn on the left turn signal, the rear tail light also lights up, but neither front or rear flash.

The right side seems to work fine.

Help.....I hate electrical...:dontknow: It's very confusing...LOL

Just a little more info to add now that it's dark here.....

With the key in the off position and the parking lights turned on....both front parking lights look about the same.

Turn the key on and the left side gets way brighter....:???:

Does anyone have thoughts on this?

Guesses are welcome too..LOL 8)

Check ground at all 4 light points and see if it makes any difference. If not, unplug the turn signal connector under the dask and see if that makes the lights the same key on/key off. It sounds like it could be a defective TS switch.

Have been messing with this all day. We're stumped.....:cussing:

Unplugged the turn signal switch....key on.....left front lamp on

Unplugged the headlight switch....ditto

ihearold...Thank you for your suggestions

Oh, RedFish....paging RedFish...LOL

If you unplugged the connector from the headlight switch and the turn signal switch and the light is still lit then you need to start looking for a short in the front harness. Look around where the battery mounts. Sometimes acid can eat up the insulation and cause the wires to short. Also check the passthru connector on the firewall.
