I have a 67 dart and I removed the hood now having trouble aligning. I drilled aligning holes but the sliders are inside and I hit the slot. I need help please

Take the striker off the underside of the hood. Bolt the hood on but only tighten the bolts enough so the hood won't move by itself but will move if you push it. Close the hood slowly while moving it around and watching the gaps and fit. That will get you close.

That's just one way of doing it. You need to work the process, push here, pull there and so on. Having the striker out keeps you from needing to unlatch it all the time and you don't want the latch setting the front position of the hood.

ok thanks. I got it pretty close but it's tough. a very little adjustment goes a long way, have to go slow. I don't like how Chrysler made their hood adjustment with the sliders inside the hood instead of slotting the hinges, but it's almost their now.
