Hood hinge retention fasteners?

Working on a 72 Scamp. Jamming the doorjamb area.Last time car was assembled by a yahoo.Took off both hood hinges,only one serrated speednut fastener on the bottom on each side.Anyone willing to set a lost soul straight on the correct amount?Thanks in advance,Tim.

On the hinges you use 3 each 1/2" pushnuts on each side. Two hold the hinge on and one retains the spring.
