Hood Snorkel or not to Hood Snorkel

This forum has been invaluable in helping me work through the collection of A bodies my Dad had squirreled away over the years, so thank you in advance. The next question I have while trying to unlock Mopar mystery is did all '73 Dart Sport 340's come equipped with hood snorkels? I have a '73 340 that I believe to be all original other than someone changed paint from black to red but it doesn't have the infamous snorkels. Please offer some insight.

J54 was the sport hood option on 71s. Not sure on 73 but it should show on the tag if it came with it. No mounting holes in the hood?

No. A friend of mine has an original 73 Dart Sport 340/4 speed and it did not come with a hood scoop.

El5demon340 is correct J54 was the option code for sport hood with scoop even on the 1973 dart sport model as I know because I have one......So if it is on the fender tag it should have one....If not, then no....I can't see your photos in post...too small

hey kkirby these are pics of the missing parts locations one side of the windshield header trim and both sides of the top to quarter panel cover trim .
