How come when I’m the first/only one to purchase something I’m told I got a deal going????

I’m pissed. There needs a rule if you have something posted and don’t mark it as pending/sold right away you can’t post any classified ads for a month. I’ve gotten this sxxx to many times already. Or do like I do and just post it here or here first. I’ve purchased a lot of stuff on here in the short time I’ve been on here. I don’t have these issues on other sites.

Hi Mike. This has happened several times already. They say I sold it on another site or just never answer or some other excuse. I just think some of these guys flood every site they can to sell their stuff and just don’t care. You can check the few items I put on here and they were never posted anywhere else. If you’re a loyal a body guy you should give the a body guys a first chance. If you want the b body people to see it first just put it there. If you want a wide group put it on e bay. I do look at the other sites once in a while but this is my go to. And yes I have a b body a amx and others. O and of corse my first love are 66 Darts. lol ( but thats really true!) just venting some but I really ment what I said. Thanks.

Well "I guess" there is no rule on that. Plus, not everybody who PM's a seller "on here" posts on the board that they did so, so there's that.

It's tough when sellers post the same item for sale here and other sites. I see parts for sale here and on Facebook and of course they don't mark the ad sold to close it. The site software does close the ads if there's no response after a month.

I have wondered why websites don't seem to care to mark listings as sold when they darn well know the item has sold.

We care here. It's in the sale rules but many other sites don't give a rip.

Try the other side of the coin. How many guys are all fired interested to buy an item and then never follow thru? IF I show interest in something and communicate a question or two. I always try to let the person know "I'm out" so as to leave no question.

Let me show you the other side of the coin. You have no idea how many members here tell me I WANT IT! Just let me know what the shipping is. And you go thru the effort to get a box size and a weight, shop around for the best shipping rate, post it to them. And then never here from them again! And this is the only site I sell on. I was a EBay member since 1998. But I just closed my account there. Got to expensive and to many rules.

Yup, a lot of tire kickers.
I have sold things to people who never posted on the thread that they were interested.
They just PM'ed me and we closed the deal.
So as first in line, that is a hard call.
I don't mark pending because that closes the interest for most people.
And I mark mine sold when I get payment.

I believe what we need to start with is a easier way to leave feedback so both buyers and sellers have a way to measure who they are dealing with. After 15 years? on e-bay I have and always had a 100% feedback. When I purchase something on e-bay if their are more than one seller for the item even if it a little higher I’ll pay it to the one with the best feedback. At least this would be a good start.

Feedback here is easy. It's below the seller's avatar. Click on "add feedback"

The next screen is self explanatory. I usually put the item in the review box. Just a couple words is all that is needed.

Click "add feedback and you're done!

As mike explained above, It is very easy to leave feedback. But if you want to give me ideas on how to make it easier, I am all ears.

Just remember, If you buy something here behind the scenes or in a non sale thread you won't have the option to leave feedback. I am pretty anal about not letting members offer things for sale in non sale threads for this exact reason. The feedback system here is a safety net for us.

When I tried to leave feed back before I found it difficult and just didn’t leave anything and even the sellers said it was ok as they knew it was not easy. And what about feedback for buyers?

I’ll try this and see what happens when some of the stuff I recently bought gets here. I’ll let you know from the buyers end.

I can tell you this. You can’t leave feedback with your phone. Or I couldn’t. I had to use my PC.

Post him the link to that video I made.

You are leaving feedback on the sale or wanted thread. There are options for seller and buyer.

Yes only on the for sale/wanted threads.
Yes only on sale or wanted threads. Swap threads too. Those are under the sale umbrella. My point in post #14 is that there is no option for leaving feedback for something bought or sold unless it came from a sale or wanted thread. There has been a lot of mix ups about this. I spent the better part of a afternoon a while back looking for a sale thread that never existed. The member was trying to add feedback to a parts sale that started in a general technical thread.
