How do I know?

So how will I know what type of rear end my car has? Measure it for the size or will the numbers on it tell me what i need to know?

All right so I have an 8 1/4 inch rear
I was going to check the fluid level since I never have
I am not sure if it ever has been
Is there an adapter i can buy that will fit the plug so I can check the fluid?

Just stick your finger in the hole. Fluid level should not be more than a 1/4 in from the bottum of the bolt hole.

Ya i know that part but do I just use a regular ratchet to get the plug out??

I just used some Power lock vise grips to get mine loose yesterday. Just make sure they are real tight.

I thought a half inch drive ratchet with a short extension would get that plug out?

O sorry about that. Adjustable wrench is what I use.

Do a burnout, if it blows its a 7 1/4, if it doesn't its a 8 1/4 or a 8 3/4:-k
