How much $ am I looking at?

I'm running the stock 318 and I presume 904 Torqueflite auto in my '73 Duster. It has a 7 1/4 rearend. I'm really wanting to put a 8 3/4 in it with a Suregrip. Possibly 3.55 gears? Not sure yet, what do you guys think. I don't drag race it, maybe I will once but it's mostly street & highway cruising. How much am I looking at $ wise to get a used rearend that I can pretty much bolt in and go?

I would say that you are looking at approx. $650-$1000 for a good used drum to drum setup. Take into consideration additonal costs (ex. driveshaft/u-joint(s), brake parts/service, u-bolts, etc.). Also, there's a good chane you will end up with 3.23 but the 3.55s are out there ... somehwere. Good luck.

Also, pricing might be a little less if you consider am 8.25 or a b-body 8 3/4. Of course, there are other things (like the correct backspaced wheels) to consider if considering the latter.
