Im sure the Swinger edition is in the works. Maybe GT or GTS. I think its cool. Face it, if they built a Dart like the old ones, no one in their right mind would buy one.
I believe there is a GTS model already available.

Thank you for the yes and yes. Now I wont give up.
The dart is a small economy car sadly they used a musclecar name for a non-musclecar... I happen to have an old dart and I'm only 12
btw I'm putting a 383 mated to a 727 in it this winter should be a 450hp engine!
Yes it was intended as cheap transportation... but they at least they later had a V-8 option and didn't look like pretty much every other car.
Honestly I think that it is basically a replacement for the Neon (hopefully it's not a lemon like the neon was)
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!rayer:Dodge Dart America's 1st Fine Economy Car
One could say the entire A body series, paid no homage to the original Dart... What design cues from the '60 Dart carried over into our A bodies besides the Unibody construction?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!rayer:
Why doesn't anybody else recongnize that fact?!? :banghead:
I'm going to buy one for my wife!!!!!!! Who's got a comment on that!!!!! Tell me what other choices are to stay with mopar????????? Ya know, in 1973 the Dart was considered a compact car....what is it today compact or sub-compact. Doesn't matter anyway...this is 2012/2013 not 1973, the retro look styling is going to fade sooner than later. Why not just use the names. My only gripe was the Charger was made to a 4 door.
I would have been completely fine with it IF they had made an SRT4 option. the turbo model is on a fiat based engine so it doesnt count. Maybe after all the negative feed back dodge will get from this car they'll produce an SRT4 model next year. *fingers crossed*
I bet it has more pep than the original Dart did back in '63. And it gets better mileage. Dodge has to make an economical car to keep up, and why not name it after their original "economy car?"
