It's cause I'm shakin from 'xaustion 'n rage, LOL
The 318 had a "Performer 318 /360" and I have a "Performer RPM" I wanted to use on the upcoming 360, but some meathead "adapted" a temp sender. I'm still not too sure what they did. Looks kinda like they put in a bushing, drilled it out, then drove or epoxied a mechanical sender in there. I had to use a chisel and vise grips to knock it out.
First time I've ever got an easy out to work, LOL. Drilled out the 1/4 NPT to accept a 3/8 NPT tap as I need one for heater hose and for the Holley EFI sender which is 3/8. As I was doing this, a Robin happened along, so I fired a shot at it, too, LOL
The taps...........this is a trick some old guy taught me back when I was a young guy. You "play" with nut sizes and put the taps and nuts in a vise---like a press--- and you can drive the taps with a socket. Works pretty good most of the time
