The problem with a bar is that if its not fully padded and you wack your melon off it in a crash its game over... Its just easier for them to say no then check the padding is in place. I'd be interested in what they say about a Jeep but I assume that since its OEM they don't make a fuss about it.
Saying your car is safer on the street with a roll bar is incorrect unless you drive around with your helmet on...
Same with 5 points... 5 points with no bar is more dangerous then a stock seat belt. stock shoulder belts are design to make the passenger fold into the middle of the car in a roll over, allowing room for the roof to collapse... a 5 point will hold you in place and let the roof come down on your skull.
Anyway, sorry for the high jack as well.
