Here is a 273 "Marine" 4bbl intake,
that is large enough to use an AVS on.

But what type of intake is it,single plane or dual,is it a meadium rise or low rise intake,post some top pics of the intake.These intakes where intended for low rpm use only,as you would normally cruise at 2500rpm,mrmopartech

LOL it looks the same as the 273 4bbl street intake, {Single plane,low riser}
except its has larger carb holes for the AVS.

This intake is great for low end and midrange,but I would think it would be just averange at best.A dual plane alley intake would be better off,Mrmopartech

Well lets get into the time machine, and go back to when it was built;
in 1966 Edelbrock had not yet made the LD4B,
so if you had a 273 small block engine, and wanted to put a larger carb on it
you had few choices,LOL.
Actually those manifolds are good to 6,000 rpm, the low range is where
a single plan is not as good as dual plane. ;)

i have the 3698437 360-4 1973 intake that came off a 360, but it looks like its only 2 barrel, should it have 2 holes instead of 4?

I have 2536563? still investigating but was told the engine is the original 273 commando.
also there appears to be a tag that has 11x23

Awesome find, it is correct intake for 273 commando...thanks toolman on info from another post

Well, you had the Eddy "D4B", which was the same as the LD4B except it had the old bolt angle and size, to fit the earlier 273 heads.
