Interchange of seats - '71 Duster vs. '71 Valiant 4 door

I have a 1971 Duster with the factory bench with folding center arm rest.

Is the same style seat found in a 1971 Valiant 4 door have the exact same dimensions as the 1971 Duster, and if yes - does the Valiant seat also use the same tracks as the 1971 Duster bench?

I'm looking at possibly purchasing a replacement for my 1971 Duster --- from a 1971 Valiant 4 door.

Any help is appreciated.

They will drop right in. The mounting location is the same for all 67-74 abody front seats,only the rears changed from body to body

And the 4 door seat will indeed fold forward, We did this !! all you have to do is remove the pin under the hinge cover.. Did this for a Texas member at Small Blocks field of dreams a couple years ago :happy1:

You'll likely find a double looped retainer like this on the 4-door seat. Remove the retainer and the seat will fold forward.

You have to add a latch assemble if you want it to lock in the back position.
