First time ice ever seen one of these. It’s a little chin pad from an under dash A/C plenum that was in a 68 Barracuda. I’m assuming because the 68 cars had a lower dash pad, and the A/C cars needed to match that in some way? But I’ve never seen one, and I’m not too versed in the 68 models, having never owned one. Can anybody shed some light on this that may know something about them? Thanks people.

YEP, 68 with factory a/c got a pad on the a/c vent assembly to accompany the lower dash pads. Chryslers engineers designed all of this knee protection unknowing that lap belts and shoulder belts would be mandated by DOT. Alas, all that extra protection disappeared for 69 and up.

Anyone have a picture of this pad installed on the car?

I can reinstall it on the plenum and take a pic of that if you like. I just took the car in on Thursday, and removed the dash, so actually installed is no longer an option here!
