My girl received a new steering wheel for Christmas...put it in today. Also, a couple of pics of the car all in primer now.

Real GT350?
I'll post a better action shot for you. It is my brother Jeff's 65 GT-350 clone. It is a seriously built machine though. This is from Button willow spring fling 3 in 2009, Jeff's first time on track, I am following in my challenger.

Most of the car has been wet sanded with 400 grit. Some more glazing is needed here and there to smooth out some imperfections, but it's getting there!

I ran into a guy in Cape Town with an awesome '68 383 Barracuda (which was how they were sold in South Africa). Matt black bonnet and black out oem steel wheels while the body was bright yellow. Looked amazing. Very stock racing but ful of power. Would look awesome with some Stockton black 16 inch steelies.

That 59 Plymouth is beautiful!

Thanks Keith, I painted that one about 18-19 years ago, just rebuilt the motor last spring (318 poly). Now just working through all the details, weatherstriping, etc. It is my dads but I feel as I am the keeper of the car, he's 70+ and his abilities are getting limited. He still loves to drive it so that is all that matters. Mikes B-cuda will look just as good as the 59 when done, except much smaller.

Nice work on the Fish.

Let's see a few more shots of Christine - like under the hood and interior. I just love those big old MoPar land yachts.

Well, up until this past weekend not much had been done in the two weeks prior (Christmas and New Years weekends...no time for the car). This weekend we got hot and heavy with it and glazed some imperfections and shot the whole car in 2-3 coats of more primer. Of course, no weekend goes without a hitch and when I started spraying the hood this morning, the primer reacted with the semi-sanded off black stripes and caused me to have to stop. Rick and I had to sand the stripes completely off to ensure a smooth finish of primer. All in all, the car looks 99% better than it did 6-7 weeks ago when we started. The roof and hood are phenomenal compared to what we started with. Oh yeah...the Frankenstein fender too! LOL! Here's some boring shots of this weeks progress. Next week is a complete wet sand and the following week is paint!

Some of the glazed areas --

These are the stripes we had to "remove"...this was before we totally removed them. Also, more glazed areas --

Somehow we forgot to strip the driver side rocker...two steps forward, one step back. DOH!

Showed back up at Rick's this morning bright and early. Finished the hood and roof and shot them in primer. The car is completely in primer again. Light wet sanding next week and paint the week after!

Laid some test paint today on part of the hood and pass fender -- Dark Quartz Grey Metallic

We're pretty happy with the color, so this is what we're going with!

Very VERY Cool....

Looks great guys! Really doesn't look to tough when you break it down like you guys did, but I'm sure I'd have a hell of a time with it.

Well, we finished blocking/scuffing it tonight. Paint next week! I'm glad I don't do this for a living...LOL.

Can you tell this driver's side fender was cut in half and spliced with another fender?

Looks real good man...i wish my cuda looked half that decent...

Thanks! It's been a long couple of months. We've only been able to work on it a couple of days out of the week...but some days were 8-10 hours a day. We probably have an easy 100 hours into it. Only a few more hours left! WOOHOO!
