Dry climates are easy on old cars, cheaper in the long run.

I'm doing a 74 Dart Sport that I found about 40 miles from Canada lol. The car was a Rochester NY car originally. Your not kidding about the rust. I have been very lucky so far could have been alot worse.

Tha latest pictures look pretty good. Looks like a pretty solid car. Maybe I missed it, but do you have the missing parts like fenders and doors?

Where'd you get that rear tail sticker like that on the duster? I know it's probably not official but I kinda like it.
Phoenix Graphics. All of the striping on my Duster is just a mix of stuff I like that’s not supposed to be on a 74 lol.

I have all that is needed. Two rust free fenders are in Pittsburgh waiting for a ride. If need be the transporter will stop and get them when he passes thru with the car in early March. The right section of the inner fender and the rad support are coming with the car loose. Hood is in my garage

So we have sourced everything for the body and it’s being loaded into the car and will make the journey east within a week.

The body just arrived from Arizona after many delays.

I also just bought a complete 70 304-3 speed from a friend that may be a better fit for our 401. I mean it’s a complete finished car….

Its normally cheaper to buy a done car.

My son wants to go with the complete 304 car and swap the RamAir hood onto the car and add multiport fuel injection.

So the Arizona Mark Donohue roller and the 401 that is at the machine shop will be going on the market.

He wants to enjoy the car and not spend years on the roller.

He can handle what needs to be done on this authentic Big Bad Orange car

here are a few pics of my sons buddy and his dad putting the fish hook stripes on the Javelin after a recent re paint

Cool cars! I had a local friend in Macon who had a collection of Javelins and AMX cars. He's dead now. His family made all kinda nasty drama about those cars. No tellin where they are now.

2 of my sons and their friend took a road trip to deliver the roller to the buyer and pick up the ‘70 304 car. The brought the Ram Air hood with them and swapped it onto the 304 car. The hood from the 304 car will be a part of the roller car.

Aaron is happy he has a very clean Running Javelin at long last!

Still
Lots to do but more manageable for sure!

I finally made some time to run the Javelin over to the body shop so the RamAir hood can be repaired and painted. They did their paint match and pulled off the hood and I drove it out of there the keep it clean and dry while they do their thing. Kinda cool driving a small cube 2 barrel V8 with 3 speed standard on the floor. It’s only been 43 years….

In the long run you are so much money and time ahead buying the orange car.

My old boss who owned a body shop I worked at once told me, only buy done cars, you will enjoy them more.
I did not listen.
I am at the point of selling off a couple projects, just have too many, might let my 70 cuda go first.
