Leanest cylinder on steel head 440

It also makes a big difference what intake manifold you are using....

I seem to recall the rear plugs tended to run rich at the track.

The leanest cylinder will be the last one you check, so you have to check them all.

Or the one you don't...
In my experience, #7 or 8 are usually the leanest but you really should watch them all. It only takes one bad cylinder to break something.

All of them, but if I want to just do a quick check I look at the A/F ratio gauge. :D

Seriously though, For quickie check I like to do at least one on each side if I don't have the time or whatever for all of them.

Is this the car running methanol? If so are you aware that reading the plugs is a whole nuther language?

have your intake flowed, then there would be no doubt about it. you might want to work on the lowest flowing runners a little.

Yeah, well in my experience the the hottest egt cylinders are very often the richest. Because, the excess fuel in burning in the header.
