Fast forward to 2 minutes.

Anybody made a jack adapter for an 8 3/4. Maybe used the pinion snubber bolts?

I have only done them in the air with a trans jack.
Those have holes in the adjustable brackets and you can wrap a chain around the yoke end and let the main chunk hang over the edge for a clear shot onto the studs.

Pain in the butt on the floor. :D

I'm a bit worried about this as well. I have the infamous "outdoor 2 post" and last time, threw the pot onto a garbage can, adjusted the height of the lift as low as I could handle, and "threw" it the rest of the way. There is gonna have to be a better way "next time"

Cool idea and a couple adjustments and would work good for a 8 3/4.

I'm hoping, when / if the time comes, to make "modifications" to the redneck transmission jack...............

I was going to make one out of an old crappy jack like this one. But thinking it would be easier making an adapter for my 3 ton.
