Hi everyone when changing the oil pick up tube I removed the oil pump and dropped the distributor drive/worm gear lol. When it comes to reinstalling is there any procedure/clocking I have to follow to do so? This will be an EFI application.

I didn't know either, LOL, and was too lazy to go dig out a service manual. Hughes engines to the rescue............

I'm not sure I believe it needs to be quite as involved as they say, however. The device in the distributor is the cam sync pickup, and only tells the engine computer what stroke the engine is on. What I would do is move the engine not to TDC on no1 compression but rather to about 20 BTC. This will put the rotor in about he center of it's "swing" from retard to advance. Carefully mark the position of the no1 cap tower onto the dist, and using a square or other tool to be accurate, adjust the dist. so the rotor is aligned. What you want is that as the electronic timing advances, the rotor is "centered" on the cap contact
