[WANTED] Manual Steering Box

Looking for a manual steering box for my 67 Barracuda. I would like to have a V8 unit in good condition.

I have one from a '68. Not sure how to tell if it's good, though. Just check the play?

I guess you check for tight spots thru it's range of motion. And if the pitman arm moves when the steering shaft moves. You can PM me with the details. Thanks

I took it off and checked it but forgot to take a pic. It is a 349 box. It doesn't seem to have any slop. FWIW, the old man I bought the car from said the car was fairly low miles but there's no speedo in it.

The numbers are cast into the housing underneath. I'll try to remember to post a pic tomorrow. Mine also had a number stamped on the top.
