Master cylinder

I need to know if there are any tricks in separating pushrod from master cylinder? And where can i get a new pushrod assembly for the master cylinder? Thanks. Jo

unless the master pushrod is bent its not a wear item...

as for getting it aprt there is a little rubber thing on the end of the rod that holds it in the master... i loosen the master nuts almost all the way and wedge something behind the master... then yank on the pedal... it will come loose... not willingly though...

Most pull on the pedal, but remove the brake switch first and watch your teeth. If already on a vise, slide a rod thru the hole and beat it down with a hammer. It will take a while, but eventually the rubber with fall apart and it will pop out.
