I picked this car up off of feebay reasonable but it was 7 hours away. I have been chatting with a fellow Valiant member here on the board (acpat) so I forwarded him the auction before I won it and he said he needed some stuff for his Valiant too. We agreed to meet up at the guys place and the seller put it inside a building out of the wind to strip it. I took off most of what I wanted and the seller used his forklift to load onto his trailer. We chatted quite a bit over the past few months and he (acpat) is pretty good peeps. It goes to show there are good and friendly people on here who can come together for a common cause....restoring our cars, gaining knowledge and making friends. If your curious it's a 68 100 2 dr with a /6 and 3spd on the column

Thanks man, It was fun always up for a road trip. Now to get the remains of this crusty valiant apart. It is in my garage dying a slow death.

sedanman is good dude and can strip hell out of a valiant in no time flat lol. especially in iowa when its cold as **** and wind is blowing 20 mph :D

Nice team work! Always helps having an extra pair of eyes/hands etc in case you missed/forgot something. Making friends doing it is awesome.

Yep, we've turned wrenches together a few times... :violent1:

An only had 1 fire lol

Oh, yeah, I remember that... #-o

Man did we jump around to get that out... :blob:

Trans fluid and anti-freeze on the floor, gas fumes, smoke filling the garage (not from the fire, but from the new motor baking for the first start - LOL!)...

Good times.... :D

Any chance this one had L1T Interior? I need a drivers side arm rest pad in good condition, colour tan. Thanks!

Michael

LMAO why does that not surprise me.:blob:

It happens. The fire was caused by a leaking VC gasket right above the header. I didn't notice that I needed to notch it at the intake. If you contact acpat he can tell you what color the interior is. It was a bronzish tan.
