I asked the same while back, i'm still lookin!
I believe the dragstrip near Tulsa has a mopar day. this fall?? maybe the Okies can tell us what it s like??
I've heard rumors the dirt track LUCAS facility here is s w mo is considering building a state of the art dragstrip, host all kind of events, even build a motel there!???????????????????????????
too bad no one can host mopar deal at Topeka like hpac hosted many years back!!??????

There is a 4th annual Mopar only event at Cedarfalls Raceway in Iowa on Sept. 26-28. They have a car show, drag race and swap meet. I've been there every year and it keeps getting better. cedarfallsraceway.com Tom

Hey Tom!

Thanks Tom and Mike. Sound like great events but one thing I failed to mention is we're not going to be able to go anytime before Oct 1. Appreciate the input though

Both before Oct 1st, sorry. Not huge events or mopar specific but good times:

Springfield Mother Road Festival
Sept 26 ..... 6pm - 10pm
Sept 27 ..... 11am - 10pm
Sept 28 ..... 11am - 2pm

I remember the yearly "Jacksonville Cruise Night" to be a good time. I haven't been for a few years but it is a rather large draw for a small town. Not terribly far from you.

Jacksonville Cruise
Saturday, Sept. 20th

Thanks for the tip! About 3 hours from me, but I wouldn't mind going, if the Home Office lets me.

Thanks for the info Trojmn. We've made it up to the Springfield Route 66 festival the past several yrs. Unfortunately we can't make it this year due to another commitment but I will put the Jacksonville cruise on the list and try to make it. Thanks again for the info.

I think we need a fall event at MoKan dragway.

mo kan was ( to me) quit a bit better event this year than many previous years. its still a pretty small pitiful turnout.
bout 12-15 years ago, the mopar club at Kansas cit ( HPAC) put on an all mopar race, drags, swap at the Topeka track. really was getting to be an event, bout what? the 3 rd, year, it rained and , I believe, they had no insurance for that. those that prepaid lost the $$, event cancelled, the event went down the tubes, that's what I remember.
it did show that this part of America is capable of supporting a large all mopar event. going further east probably makes a large event easier, just look at what mopar monster sunday used to be the st Louis?????
i'm wondering what las vegas in march is like, never been, don't see any real info on it. I probably can fly to vegas fairly cheap. generally ticket deals trying to lure guys there ..... just wondering???? I knpw las vegas isn't the Midwest!!!??????

Thanks Karl but we're looking for a large event like Monster Mopar was. If you weren't so far away we'd do the cruise but it'd take way too much fuel to drive the Cuda that distance

Ads on craigslist for a big non mopar specific swap meet in springfield Mo. this weekend.
