Sometimes u can’t see the valve cover leaking with clean oil. Run your hand back there and see if your fingers get wet. Kim

Jacked it up and crawled under while running and found it. No gasket on the oil filter adapter lol. Pan must be solid.
Man that’s GREAT news. Now go have fun. With a friend and a dial indicator you can check that thrust clearance without removing the pan. I can do it by myself but I have lots of practice and tools for checking it.

I know! I’m so relieved. Did not want to take the pan off at all. I think I’ll leave it sealed up down there and check the crank thrust bearing externally instead. I have a nice starret gauge. Thanks for the advice!
