No show, all go!
*if you feel that a car in your class does not belong there, please bring your concerns to the Registration Table and we will work to resolve the issue.
That's gonna be the straw... That breaks their back. I figure I will move it around a few times and keep 'em confused!I remember something about them trying to crackdown on the classes last year, but I ignored it. I just dont recall them having this point sheet the last few years. I just think its ridiculous how they try to break up the classes so much. It would probably be easier if it was broken up into judged and not judged.
Anyways, I registered today. I'm #203 in the Plymouth class.
I cant wait until Doug, brings his van and parks it by us. LOL
The odds are pretty good. A bodies are the first couple of rows, Dodge and Plymouth are typically broken up by brand, but you will see them parked next to each other or back to back. They can keep my votes, if I get any. LOL. I am coming for the fun of it. My 440 is "stock appearing" in that Demon engine compartment. ;)
Like I said before there will be potentially three cars coming with us. What are the odds all three can be parked together? 72 Demon, 74 Duster, and a 67 Dart.
Exactly, IMO they have over complicated it and it just needs to be dumb down some. Here is my question - if all of the stock/stock appearing classes are 100-1300, why are un-restored originals class 2300?
The most stock class of all is not set up to show next to the stock/stock appearing cars.
Hmmmmmm.
I have suggested in the past that they should have Class 100: A-Body Plymouth/Dodge Stock Class 200: A-Body Plymouth/Dodge Modified Then most would be happy and the A-Bodies would all be parked in the same area
Because when they reclassified everything they forgot certain types of classes and put them in later so some things are out of order. They forgot C bodies entirely last year and put us C body guys out with the trucks. They had the same class number when I registered and have since changed the number to be more inline with the other class numbers. But yeah, they thought too hard about a simple thing. Stock and modified cars of the same body style makes the most sense to me.Here is my question - if all of the stock/stock appearing classes are 100-1300, why are un-restored originals class 2300?

I just got my flier in the mail for MITP!!! This year it included an insert on how to properly class your vehicle. Now, I understand why they have this, but I dont agree with it. According to the insert my car belongs in the Custom Class.
Those of you that plan on going, Im curious... technically where does your car belong, and where are you going to park it????

this is always been a subject at any carshow ive been too if you don't want your car judged then cross out the number on your dash card or write non judged. they should have a area for non judged cars to park so every one can just hang out and BS,
another idea is park your car in the correct class, and have a tent or canopy set up in the open area down from the cars and sit there and chat, unless everyone wants to sit and stare at their car.lol
my daughter wants her car judged so I understand her when she is parked next to a dodge dart or a demon that is not supposed to be in her class, she wants to compete against cars like hers , it makes things hard to determine what is stock anymore...
I had a 68 charger with a 440 in it and the only mod was it had headers on it, I was always put in modified classes, so I was judged against cars that were tubbed had blowers or all chromed out, so I took the headers off and went to stock classes ..
everyones opinion of stock is different, so we cant please everyone all the time,
so I can suggest put your car in correct class and grab your chair and put up a tent or meeting area away from the main cars ,like the end of the show car row and everyone can meet there and no one gets in trouble, ..
That's gonna be cool to see the truck in with those cars! It is kinda messed up though.I thought I'd bring the pickup with the 58 boat and put it in the Special Interest class. So I'll be parked with Daytona/Superbird/TA/ARR and Max Wedge Thats wack
Yes, great idea. I was in the stock class last year but shouldn't have. The guy out on the street passing out paperwork said I should. Like some of you have said, if you're in Modified, you get put with tubbed pro streeters with 500 cube engines under the hood. LOLI have suggested in the past that they should have Class 100: A-Body Plymouth/Dodge Stock Class 200: A-Body Plymouth/Dodge Modified Then most would be happy and the A-Bodies would all be parked in the same area
"Stock appearing" is a better class name. They can keep my votes, if I get any. LOL. I am coming for the fun of it. My 440 is "stock appearing" in that Demon engine compartment. ;)

The show will never be perfect for everyone, but it's pretty good for as big as it is. Its my favorite too!I have no hard feelings regardless how the show is run. It is my favorite Mopar show!
